As part of the requirements of being a member of the Department each volunteer must undergo various training classes so that we may fulfill the mission of our Department.

These classes include, but are not limited to, First Responder Medical, Wild land Fire Fighting, Hazardous Materials Response and ICS or the Incident Command System.

Further, members of the Department partake in exercises such as those performed each year in Big Springs, a multi-agency drill practicing various fire fighting scenarios.

Added to this annual training requirement the Department meets each week to practice specific fire fighting skills, discuss strategic response plans and perform maintenance on our fire equipment.
